About us
The study is being conducted in our Public Mental Health department at the ZI. Under the direction of Prof. Ulrich Reininghaus, we are investigating the factors, mechanisms and early warning signs of mental illness. In addition, an important focus of our work is on the development of new e-health interventions to promote mental health, with which the learning and experience of new strategies can be integrated into everyday life. We are working to reduce barriers to accessing research and support services. One of our major aspirations is to make participation in the MAKO study accessible to people from diverse backgrounds. In this way, we want to reflect the individual needs of different groups of people and include them in the development of new support services. Our team currently consists of thirteen scientific and student employees from the fields of psychology and medicine.

In order to investigate the mental health of the Mannheim population, we work together with practitioners and outpatients as well as representatives of local organizations and associations.
